Hudson River Series: My home rests on the east bank of the Hudson River. With the rise and set of the sun and the moon, and the river's ebb and flow, daily I am a spectator in awe of the most magnificent views. As an artist I would be remiss, given this opportunity, if I did not try to share it in some way. This is just the beginning of things to come, and said best by the Mole in The Wind in the Willows " So–this–is–a–River!"
BlocksWorks Series: Originated from a madcap notion I had to put my vast archive of commercial and personal images, taken over decades, onto a physical, touchable medium—wood blocks. With six faces to curate, I watched as an unforeseen overload of thematic patterns emerged into infinite possible combinations of subjects, colours, images and concepts. In due course, BlocksWorks has evolved, though still with endless possibilities. BlocksWorks is the perfect marriage between the visual and the tactile. With the blocks I want to encourage people to see and hold the details of the world; to take a moment to notice nature’s creations and recognize the splendor that surrounds us.
